The very first thing you have to know is exactly what a"Vaal" skill is. Basically it"s a stronger version of a charm, but it prices souls to use. Souls are obtained from killing any enemies. So what you can do is use the simple variant of the spell -- in this case Fireball, and wrack some souls up. You do not have to use exactly the identical skill (Fireball and Vaal Fireball), but your tree is set up to help that type of play, so you might too. You unleash your Vaal ability, When you"ve attained spirits.

Here"s where it becomes interesting. You can make souls using the ability itself. It doesn"t have a cast animation, it shoots at Fireballs. This gives you enough spirits to use the skill again, and you continue chaining it. This permits you to run the map across and kill everything in your path. It is. But that does not mean it does not require some setup to accomplish.

The Vaal skills utilize a whole lot of souls. To be able to chain the skills into themselves, you need a couple of distinct items. There"s a gem which lets you have a chance. You can use as many of them as you want, so you"ll need at least two. This makes you close to strengthening two spirits. Moreover, you use a skill called Spell Echo. This casts the spell that you throw the second not quite as strong but much faster cast. In a Vaal setup, this simply means you get a cast that is free, it will not cost souls again.
