RuneScape to set themselves up
The fact that all this occurred at Deadman Mode"s thirteenth season"s end is cause for concern. There are questions concerning Jagex"s QA procedure that overlooked something as blatant as fog not being handicapped in the areas that are 1v1. Adjustments were made, like item drop rebalancing and items being handicapped. Images of a Discord message are currently floating about that indicate Jagex thought the changes didn"t justify a test run.
There have been serious problems with Jagex handled the problem after half of the participants expired to something from the control. A three-hour delay is unacceptable for any spectator sport. If Runescape cannot last as normal at the end of three hours, rescheduling the event should be a highly regarded option.
I will be clear here: after the bug occurred, there was no easy solution for Jagex. If you reschedule the event, you risk losing participants who have already altered their schedule. With commentators and participants, this problem becomes even a greater danger. If you act like nothing large occurred and continue , you face the examination of those outside looking in.
Jagex apologized and said they would address the affected players"in a later date" in their tweets. This really does very little to reconcile with all the players who used vacation time to compete in the championship or who put countless hours in RuneScape to set themselves up. Whilst awaiting replacement balances, no communication was received by the simple fact that lots of players is unacceptable. They needed to wait for upgrades on a general scale on Twitter, hoping they might be among the lucky ones to be given a chance.
